Good news for my blog!

Bold statement: I have decided to feature author interviews on my blog, starting soon. I am aiming for one interview each month, it might become a little more or a little less, but 12 a year seems a reasonable goal. I have some interesting names lined up already, so keep checking in! (And yes, soon really is soon. I'm thinking February, and that starts tomorrow, so I'd better get to work! Hahaha!)

In order to make the interviews easier to find in the long run, I will also set up an archival blog called, "Thoughts from the shelf," with address mariahammarblad.blogspot.com (very original address, I know... For a writer I sometimes have a pretty poor imagination!) I want to save them in a spot where they won't drown in other random stuff. Wish me luck! =D

On a completely different note, I'm suffering a certain ambiguity regarding the Goddess's saga. It was easy as long as there was only one book out there, but now as parts two and three are nearing completion, I wonder if I should give the first one a facelift. Do you like the cover of "Touch of the Goddess" (left)? I used to love it, but after seeing it for two years I'm starting to second-guess myself.

Should books two and three get covers matching the first one, or should I update that and try for something new? I made a draft for "Wrath of the Goddess." What do you think?

Books coming soon!

Yes, yes, it's true! I have actually finished something! In the forseeable future, the upcoming installments of the Goddess's saga will come to an Amazon.com on a computer screen near you. (And B&N of course, all in good time.) Keep your eyes open for "Wrath of the Goddess" and "Return of the Goddess."

I have also finished my long time project "Flashback" - that only took two years hahaha. Release date is TBD, but check this out:

Steve Petersen is a Very Troubled Man. Sole survivor of a Taliban POW camp he often thinks that only parts of him returned; his sanity appears to have been left behind. He seeks solace in alcohol and drugs, but nothing helps block the images from his mind for more than minutes at a time, and he is trapped in horrifying flashbacks.

He is more than surprised when he wakes up in a bright and merry bedroom that turns out to belong to the widow Anna, a woman he has rudimentary memories of meeting. Knowing that he should leave isn’t the same thing as doing it, and before he knows what’s happening, he finds himself pulled into a world with real life problems, such as folding laundry, and what’s for dinner.

Whiskey is no longer his first priority, and not being alone in his waking nightmare is a relief. That is, until Anna disappears. Steve finds himself forced to return to Afghanistan, a place where he’ll have to face both external enemies and himself.

Goodreads is currently unavailable

I haven't blogged much lately; there's been too much going on for me to gather my thoughts about anything, but today was going to be the day when I brought out the large feather-duster to get all imaginary grime off of the websites. First, I discovered to my dismay that Goodreads must have changed their feed address; I thought my blog there was populating my pages on Amazon, Blogger, OpenSalon and so on, but this wasn't the case. After going through all the websites and updating to get the feeds right, I figured I should write a little something, just to see if it worked, and got the message, "We're sorry, but Goodreads is currently unavailable." It's just not meant to be, is it? LOL! (Yes, LOL is an official word nowadays, and that's a good thing because I love it!)

Now I'm off to investigate if I can somehow get these blogs to show up on my new website (www.hammarblad.com) and on Facebook. See you later! :-)
