Meet Ellie - new arrival from Texas

I haven't blogged for a few days, I've been kind of busy. I'm working on edits for "Undercover," to be released September 11. I saw a mockup of the cover the other day, it's fantastic. I can't show it just yet - I don't have the final, final version - but I'm eager to tell the world!

We also have a new foster dog, Erella. I call her Miss Ellie - it's much easier to say. She is absolutely gorgeous! She comes from a high kill shelter in Texas, and was pulled by Ewenity Farms with only hours left to live.

Once she got out of the shelter, she needed somewhere to say while waiting for transport, and ended up in boarding for two months. Finally, someone was able to give her a lift to Florida, and now she's with me! Happy Joy Joy!

Ellie is a young girl, and has spent too much of her life locked up. When I first took her to our back yard and took the leash off, she didn't know what to do. She stood up against me and I urged her to go check it out. She took two steps away from me, and jumped back. Once she figured out that she could move and run, it became the best thing ever.
